No, only the 1999s had a recall and they were not "way short on advertised horsepower." On average it was less than 10 h.p. And Ford made up for it with the '03-'04 SVT Cobra and the GT500/GT500KR . . . .
I don't think any GM fan boy ought to raising the issue of "recalls" . . . it'd take an encyclopedia to recount all of GM's "do-overs."
