As a spin on this topic, there are folks who are "idea likers/lovers" but not "reality likers/lovers".

Example:

I used to own a '68 Dodge Coronet. I liked the idea of owing a '60's muscle-esque car, but didn't particularly like the reality of owning/driving it.

Definitely did not like the pristine black interior during the summer months. ;D
