Hmm. I thought it had always been Famoso Raceway. Am I wrong?

Down in Taunton on route 44.
One of those photos is the number to call. Dunno what he's asking for it.

67 & 68 had metal script letter across the front hood face
69 & 70's had the bowtie on the hood -
71 & 72 had the bowtie on the grille (unless of course someone swapped parts around)

                That's badass!

I have been looking for either a ramp truck or rollback ever since seeing the write up about the dude that built his own. Way more convenient then loading up the trailer and pulling it around. I would be inclined to inquire if it weren't 1,000 miles away.

                  Nice find!

Wonder what the underside of the cab looks like...if it's as good as the topside, I'd take it!

                  I'd wager on a 350 under the hood....perhaps a big-block?

Other than removing the non-existant dragstrip lettering(Easy-Off is great for this) and a good cleanup, I'd want to add a couple of wheelstops("dips"?) to help hold whatever I was hauling in place.

My wife's brother has a '68 1-ton like this, originally had a camper on it until a tree took it out. He's discussed doing something like this in place of the camper body(his is MINT...belonged to their late grandfather, has the Allison HD auto trans from the factory)...I'd give the thumbs-up on that idea!

I am in lust. That thing would be sweet with a fresh coat of flat black.
Hauling ass & sucking gas are the best uses for a truck.

Its a '72. The rear view mirror is glued to the windshield and is the best indicator between '71's where it's screwed to the inside of the cab and '72's. The other difference is in the paint on the grille surround but after nearly 40 years its not a good indication as a lot of parts get swaped. If the transmission is still factory and its a manuel its a 465.
