Kudos to the crewman that jumped back in the car to get the driver out after he smashed his head and arm, and the relatively quick start line crew to get the flames out.

They used to have a guy with a tarp to cover the intake in case of something like this. So no one would see whatever secrets were in there.

That's also when guys used to build their own junk. Now you call up a guy like Steve Johnson and the whole thing shows up, plumbed, to your door.
