Re: Bangshift Mini-Feature: The Piss'd Off Pete 1960 Peterbuilt
IMO, I like it better without the rear fenders and stacks.
All 53, 71, 92 series Detroits are 2cycle but differ from what must people think of a 2cycle in that they are wet sump oiled, not by injection, a cylinder head with exhaust valves(which is where the Jake Brake does its thing) and a camshaft in the block.
They do have intake transfer ports in the block like a small weedeater type 2cycle, there for needing the blowers to force air down in the engine and up throw the transfer ports, because, as the same with all diesels, they don't make vacuum due to being throttled up by fuel, not air like a gas engine. 2cycle Detroits don't use an fuel injection pump like say a Cummins or Cat either. Just a little screamin' FYI for those who wondered.
Bruab, those are the same GM axles you need for the C-50 projectJeremy George in Windsor NY

Say it with me, Bruab...Peterbilt....no "u" in there, brother(us Pete guys get touchy about that....LMAO).
Anyway, I like the fact he went with stacks after the initial shorty pipes....A Petercar just ain't a Petercar without stacks(although they should be BESIDE the cab corners, just behind the doors for the proper look and maximum "noise" transfer....I know, bitchbitchbitch.... :D)
13-speed? Only if it's a double-over.....triple-digits past the chicken shacks!
