there are tons of those cars still on the roads here in the midwest.

And they had turbo versions - with a badass little Holley TBI that can be used on all sorts of EFI conversions.

Now those are commanding commercials. I thought RoboCop was going to bust through the logo at the end :o

A Super K?! Are you kidding me? What did you get, like 4 more hp? I like how they claim they improved the aero on their shoe boxes.

Ok, my folks owned a couple of K-platform cars and overall, they were very good people movers.

One was an 1984 Chrysler LeBaron - This one used the 100hp 2.6L Mitsubishi 4 banger. It was a punchy little motor that could sucker punch a 4cy Camaro/Firebird of the same era. DAMHIK ;) My folks owned this car for 9 or 10 years and it was in the shop a grand total of 1 time. Just regular maintenance is all it required.

The other was a 1987 New Yorker 2.2L Turbo. Cushy car with more motor than chassis, but could obliterate a similar year Caddy in a drag race... over and over and over.. (again DAMHIK) ;D This car was in the shop a grand total of 2 times, although my dad and I replaced the power antennae once. They owned it for 6 years and traded it in on a 1992 Cougar.
