Re: Awful Cars, Awful Ads: The 1983 Renault Alliance
Two kids could push that car uphill with relative ease. We would do it all afternoon. Coast it down hill, turn it around and push it back up.
My mom would look out the window occasionally to make sure there wasn't a flat stanley in the group.
That was pretty fun.

Re: Awful Cars, Awful Ads: The 1983 Renault Alliance
My friend got one of these cars for free from his highschool auto shop class. We never registered or insured that car, but beat the crap out of it for about 6 months straight. We would do challenges in it by day to figure out who could do the longest e-break pull and mini burn out contests. After we would get back from going out on the weekends, we would drive down the road to a farmers house and drive into the field by his house at top speed (which was like 65) pull the e-break and do a few 360s while screaming (not nice things) at the top of our lungs until he turned on the lights and came out of his house. One night he finally ran out of the house and got in his truck to come after us. We were scared sh*tless because that was a SLOW car. Luckily we made it back to my friends house and hid the car before he had a chance to catch us. It eventually was undrivalbe and ended up in a junkyard somewhere in South Jersey. Hail to to Relault! Perfect beater car.
