Ford shareholders are a lot better off than GM & Chrysler shareholders. ;D
And the end of FAT CAMARO's party starts on ~ December 3 or 4 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, when the rumors about the 2011 DOHC "Coyote" Mustang and maybe even a 201x "Road Runner" Shelby GT500 should be put to rest.
And come Spring 2010, there's going to be "a new sheriff in town" ;) . . . . Paul Svinicki (http://www.paulshp.com) told me at SEMA (without leaking any inside info, of course) that the 2011 Mustang V8 won't be taking a back seat to anyone . . . .

In all this, it still doesn't help the fact that all three OEM's should be screaming from the top of their lungs for a real Trans-Am series again.
THAT would help sell cars, all three brands. My $.02.
This is where some are overlooking the obvious, the Detroit OEMs are not going to be getting back on their feet off of Pony Car sales. Never will happen.
Nope, they need high-volume "TOP TEN SELLERS" and should go after Toyota and the others, and have serious contenders in all vehicle categories.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. It's comforting to see you positive on the '11's development. Hopefully, I'll own one soon. ;D

oh. and g.m. has to do is go to the vette parts pin and pull a 505 hp vette ls off the shielf..
oh. you where say'n
or really screew with ford and drop a zr1 ls in a few.. what to call it.. hum..
they already have the SS, RS, the z-28 is coming
so..
Oh I got it.. type -le2 or ls-1 or just mustang killer
unlike ford and mopar..
the parts are already avil. and only a nod, away from getting the o.k.
and if ford can charge 50k plus for a shelby mustang..
the added cost 18k for the zr1 engine wouldn't be out of line to flat out make fords overpriced high end mustang owners cry
I am very happy the new Camaro is out and selling well, and as a owner of a 05 Mustang I love bitch slapping new Camaro's at traffic lights :D I have met up with 3 of them (all SS cars) and wiped the smile off there faces. My car is not stock but still makes my happy. By the way the Procharger was well worth it ;D ;D
Thats the great thing about Ford and Mustangs in general, they have always left plenty of room for the enthusiast and aftermarket to make upgrades . Makes them a great brand stock or improved.

GM will never let any car out power, or even have the same power, as the Vette. That's been rule #1 since the 60's. If the camaro ever gets the zr1 engine; it'd be detuned.

well detuned.. um .doubt it..
the ls cars 1998 to 2002 use the vette engine only the exhaust manifolds held it back..
if thats detuned then yes
Yes Chevrolet always gives the Corvette the biggest engine option, except for the LS6, they offered that in the Chevelle only. Some say El Camino too.
They don't want people to be able to purchase a lower cost Camaro and out perform the higher cost Corvette.
well then the g.n. is an issue.. the turbo 20th anv. t.a the ls6 velle and elco..
and for bobie ,go to team chevelle.com and you can see the real documented ls6 elco's
cause they need you to tell them it's real or not... ;D
the 1998 to 2002 fbody had the same engine.. as the vette.. exhaust manfolds and piping held it back. the lt1 cars are the same way..
I'm sure if they dropped a zo6 505 hp ls into the camaro.. it be held back in the pipe'n also..
and if the zr1 engine got in an f body. they'd not touch the engine. cause the chassis wouldn't alow it to keep up with a vette..
so the vette wouldn't have to worry..
