Re: Would you pay $5,000 to go 200 mph?

$25k will get you to 200. But when you get there you get a free t-shirt, hat, and if you're in the cool kids club, a leather jacket given to you by some hippy in flip flops, and camo shorts ;D

So if it was on your before you die list and you never were going to do it ever again, $5k is a killer deal.

For those of you with in 15, 18, or even 10 mph of that goal. Think outside the box, you're really close. Really think aero, it can get you there, You've probably wrung all you can out of the motor, aero and traction is all thats left.

If I had 5k laying around I'd go for it but I don't so the 25 year 40k plan will work for me

5k is about 4 times what I have in the Escort. I bet that with that money, and some junkyard ingenuity, I could be running 150.

Take my word for it fella's...Vipers don't just go 200 mph as easy as one would think. You need a minimum of 575 rwhp which is about 150 short of what you start with and Viper parts cost A LOT OF MONEY. Again ask me how I know.lol... 200 mph is seriously hauling the mail and I am going to try and do it in the standing mile down in San Antonio for the March 26-28 Texas Mile event. I have already embraced the reality that I will quickly realize how much I have to learn.
