Re: Car Craft Magazine Announces Engine Swap Drags in 2010
Only if none of the power adder modulars from the NMRA fail to show up (which is likely because there is no prize money and they have that stupid "no decals, no lettering" rule).
This is just another Jeff Smith-esque scam to promote the LS.
And when the DOHC Ford Coyotes and SOHC Boss become widely available to Car Crafters, the LS fans better look out.Comment

Speedzter, for your sake I hope the Coyote engine meets some expectation, because the Mod motor looked good on paper too ;) I'm of the opinion, "I'll believe it when I see it."Originally posted by Speedzzter.blogspotOnly if none of the power adder modulars from the NMRA fail to show up (which is likely because there is no prize money and they have that stupid "no decals, no lettering" rule).

Re: Car Craft Magazine Announces Engine Swap Drags in 2010
As a matter of fact, I do own a PowerStroke Diesel for pulling my hauler. ;D And the 2011 6.7 liter "Scorpion" PSD is going to be a killer 'plant. http://www.dieselpowermag.com/featur...uty/index.html
As to the catty "ignore" comment . . . if Bowtie Bangshifters want a "Chevy only" experience, there are plenty of places to find that.
I, for one, think that Bangshifting ought to be more interesting and diverse than a typical NSRA fairgrounds show (where 90% seem to follow the worn path of slapping a crate (or JY) SBC into an over-priced cruiser, covering it with mostly useless bling and a cliche "hot rod" paint scheme, and calling it good. Yawn. Zzzz)
And I remember back when brand rivalries were something that we celebrated instead of ignored.
Why bother to run the CC event if we're just going to award the prize in a popularity contest?Comment

with a off road road coarse across the street from the top end of the drag strip at speed world - if that wind is blowing right out there in the desert, it could turn the top end into a skating rink, sounds like good times to meCharles W - BS Photographer at largeComment
