John Stossel did an expose on this scam on his new show on FNC and also spoke about it on Glenn Beck's show. The tax 'credit' was around $6500 of some one elses money. If the program is as efficient as the CFC bill that 'credited' $4500 at an actual cost of $24,000 par car and the new home buyer 'credit' of $8,000 that costs the rest of us $43,000 I immagine this one is a winner too. >

In some places it's even worse that that.
In at least one state, state tax credits make "neighborhood vehicle" electric cars nearly free! :o http://www.news9.com/Global/story.asp?S=11159588. That same state apparently has the worst revenue shortfall in the nation. http://www.newson6.com/Global/story.asp?S=11708610 ??? Coincidence?
Of course, no amount of taxpayer subsidy can make the drivers of such electric "moving chicanes" look like anything but total wimps behind the wheel.Comment
