Re: The Very Best of BangShift.com in 2009
Those were all great stories and were fun to follow, but my favorite thread is still the original Red Ball Express. I couldn't wait to get home from work to see where the Javelin was, check out new pics and the progress everyone was making. Even though I couldn't participate, it was definetly cool to see everyone pitching in on this project.
Looking forward to an even cooler 2010!

Just curious - did you correct those numbers for the number of BSers signed up at the time the article ran or just go by gross views? I did stats for EPA for a while so I think about this stuff. As we gain members there are more people who CAN see the post so a post that runs later in the year has a better chance of scoring well than a post that ran earlier when there were fewer members.
Just a though

Yea! What gives Bruab????
The blog is read by tens of thousands of people who would have absolutely no idea what the OJ reference was about.
Those were the 10 most viewed blog items of the year.
The forum is kinda like the club house, but you don't need to be in the club to read the blog.
That which you manifest is before you.

Re: The Very Best of BangShift.com in 2009
True enough. How about if the Top 10 selections are corrected by the number of viewers at the time of posting or some such? My point still applies - as BS has gained fame (notoriety?) more people know about it and therefore are more likely to look here. I was assuming (yeah, I know) that more members would equal more viewers but that may be a bad assumption.
What got me thinking about this is that most of the top blog items are pretty recent and I'm not sure that makes sense. Maybe the quality of the writing has improved radically in the past few months (I don't really think that) or there are more folks looking because more folks are in the know. I've been perusing from Day 1 but I'm a Day 1 member so I probably skew the stats.
Again, just a thought
Dan
