Re: GM to Recall Corvettes Due to Potential for Roof to Fly Off

I've seen a T-top off a Camaro fly off a car in front of me on a Freeway, pretty spetacular flying through the air then shattering when it hit the pavement in front of me.

The AOL news had the "Toyota replacing 4 Million Gas Petals" headline right under the Corvette one.
    Escaped on a technicality.

I haven't seen one lose a roof, yet. But I have seen plenty of Corvettes get their doors blown off!

      ;D

It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Want the immediate fix for that?

Put the targa roof in the hatch. Go do 160-something MPH. But wear earplugs.

I have a friend with a 2002 Z-51. 164mph on I-405N from Puyallup to Renton. On a weekday. Sometimes it's a miracle that I've never been in jail...
            Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."
