My family ended up with a foster daughter because her adopted father, a deacon from a local church, didn't want her anymore because she ran away with a school friend. Mr Deacon was a world class A=hole. I finally told him so on our third meeting when my brain/mouth filter wasn't functioning. I also said it's nice to know that someone who was supposed to be an example of a good christian had no idea what one was. He called my Dad and complained about my lack of respect for older people. My Dad told me that I was correct.

If you watch the video (top right f page) it's actually the woman who lives in the house that makes the "beating" quote.
