Re: The Parting Shift: 11,000 RPM Insanity From Norway
I'm not a Ford guy, but that was about 31 flavors of awesome.
I spent all day yesterday at Pomona watching the first round of the Winternationals, and though most people go for the pro classes, I really love seeing the Super Stocks, Super Gas, and the like, all the way up to Pro Stock. I guess I can just relate to those cars more. The sound of those cars coming through the lights at 9 grand never gets old.
I always wanted to build a super high revving small block. The plan was a de-stroked 400 (377) once. I imagine the potential the LS motors offer can completely outperform the old 400 builds at this point though. Cool video.

Re: The Parting Shift: 11,000 RPM Insanity From Norway
Hi Guys,
The car is an ex motorcraft sponsored probe built by Jerry Haas, (ex John Konighshofer). We baught the car in 2004 and has been running it since, in comp eliminator E/A. We are located in sweden, and the video shows a race in Norway.
My father has been running dragracing with SBF since 1974, so we are trually ford nuts. We have three engine combinations, all from 291 to 297 cui. All motors are down stroked 302s. This run was a 7.92 @ 170 mph.
We are soon launching a website, in the next couple of weeks, so be sure to check it out. There you will be able to read more about the car and engines and the team.
Please let me know if you have any more questions, and i will try to answer as much as possible.
Thanks,
Christian Sagelv, Driver
