  • Missing vettes found in rough shape 20 years later.

Interesting story (found on another site) Sad story of some nice old vettes missing for 20 years , not for the faint of heart.

In 1989, VH1 gave away 36 vintage Corvettes in a contest. The winner sold those cars to artist Peter Max, who let them rot in a Brooklyn parking garage for twenty years. The cars recently disappeared. This is their story.

Holy Crap! I'm not a Chevy guy, but I would give my left marble for that collection. It automotive history.

    P.S.,
I would also take care of them for free. By the sound of it, it's out of sight out of mind. after awhile I could file paperwork as if they where abandoned and take ownership ;) ;D

Now I understand why people kidnap children to protect them.
What Peter Max is doing is wrong, but he is within the law.

So they got a little dusty. I hardly call that "rotting"

Other than the usual oversensationalized "journalism" it was an interesting read.

Seems to me that Digital Corvettes should mind their own business
