      Our tax dollars at work

edit: couldn't help but copy and paste this snippet:

"Like a lot of executives at restructured companies, Lee likely discovered that GM lost volumes of institutional knowledge when it thinned its executive ranks after bankruptcy."

Volumes of institutional knowledge?? that's French for "the skill it takes to run a good company into the toilet by building a shit product, pandering to the UAW, and milking shareholders (and now American Taxpayers) while lining the pockets of thousands of douchebag executives"

Well, Ed Whitacre admitted he didn't know squat about the car biz, and Fritz at least was a car guy.
Maybe his input was needed (but not worth quite that much for a temp job).

"Dial Tone" Ed Whitacre must have figured out that Fritz-the-bean-counter knew a little something about the car business after all.

But let's not get too up in arms. Fritz is getting a pittance compared to Ed "I-know-nothing-about-the-car bidness"Whitacre. "Dial Tone" Ed's $9 million 3-year package works out to about $960/hour for a 60-hour work week. That's incredible money for an on-the-job trainee! But that's slumming for Ol' "Dial Tone." He reportedly snagged an incredible $408,000/week from the telephone company in 2001 ($21 million/year).

Maximum Bob Lutz only received compensation valued at piddly $54,263/week back in 2007. So it's not surprising that he once opined that auto execs are are "way, way, way" underpaid. http://www.autospies.com/news/Bob-Lu...u-Agree-51907/
