Re: Gallery: Inside The General Motors Heritage Center
Early Buick 3.8L turbo with the draw threw carb. An attempt to eek out as good of economy as possible out of a V6 while still giving it some power. A bit of shift was made when they made the later Hot Air and Intercooled 3.8L which were trying to get V8 power with V6ish fuel economy.
Should have opened the hood of the 83 Riviera pace car, there's a twin turbo 4.1L V6 hiding under there.
Love the GM has held on to some significant Buick things like the Verilite and '59 LeSabre concepts and those Rivieras. Cool stuff! Too bad they sold the Blackhawk.

Re: Gallery: Inside The General Motors Heritage Center
Chad-dude, thanks for the great pics of something many of us might never see! I would have liked for you to get a bit more info. on the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp radial engine. IIRC, it was an 18 cylinder engine producing something like 2000 + hp. Info. on some of the other engines would have been nice, too.
Also would have liked for you to get a pic or two of the motor coach in the far corner with the graphic of the GM Cavalcade of Progress bus/coach on the side. Too cool!
Again, thanks for the pics!

I owned an 84 original. the rally wheels and rings..strangely at 14 inch
all it needed was a real vacuum/hei disty (they were limited/retarded)
and the holley 600 is a nice touch...15 inch wheels. good to go.Previously boxer3main
