My 1967 Nova SS was built at the Oshawa Plant as well ;D

Good news for sure. The Oshawa plant has been rated near the top for build quality on vehicles worldwide several times, they do great work there.

I have a 2009 Impala that was built at Oshawa, and I love it. My wife and I had been particularly impressed with the quality and fuel economy of a rental Impala we had driven half way across the US, so when the time came to buy, it was near the top of our list.

If GM can manage to impose the standards of quality evident in cars like the Impala, Camaro, and Malibu across their line, I think their prospects for the future are good.

Here's hoping the suits running the company don't do anything to screw it up like they did at Chrysler during the late '90s/2000s....
