Can someone explain the fuel induction set up on the Herman Munster Coach?

It originally had a Hilborn set up with stacks that had 90* bends outward. It appears they to to standard carb and the stacks are nothing more than for appearance.


BTW, I saw many of the cars coming and going LA on I-5 while driving back and forth to Norcal. Only saw one on the a trailer. The rest were getting out and cruisin.
