I spent a lot of money going to the track to see this car. The open door burnouts were a crowd favorite.

Excellent write up and Photos. Saw this car race when I was a Kid - Yellow River and Atlanta Speed Shop .
Hubert match raced it all over the Country and even beat Richard Petty's Factory backed Barracuda over in Alabama.
Hubert Platt is the man - can you imagine running low 9's @ 145 MPH in this beast ?

Did that car have the Chevy Nova front bumper on it whan it was raced back in the 60's??
