And, just to hammer the point home, 99.9 KISW, one of the local rock stations up here, commemorated these two special people as the "Shot of the Day"...people involved in stories like this (now there's a scary thought!) make that grade.

KISW is still around? Years ago we could get that station just across the line (Abbotsford - near sumas/bellingham), but it sort of dissapeared from my dial probably 8-10 years ago. Used to listen to it all the time....

Yep! KISW (99.9, '70's-up rock), The End (107.7, mainly grunge-era) and The Funky Monkey (104.9, newer stuff). Beats living in places like Killeen where there was only one "rock" station and you actually were excited when they played "Rock You like a Hurricane".
