Re: BangShift Barn Find: A Survivor 1968 Camaro From Ohio

I have a car just like that I bought in may. It's an original owner 1967 Camaro. Zero options, running a 230ci six and originally a three on the tree that the owner had converted to floor shift in 1968.

No rust in the floors at all, and a very nice body. It was still wearing its vintage cragars and bias ply rubber when I bought it. The original motor was mildly hot rodded years ago, and runs great. I swapped in a four speed, rebuilt everything that needed to be rebuilt, changed the rims and tires, and have just been driving it and fixing the little things as I go.

I believe the motor was rebuilt but it only shows 78K on the clock. It's slow but gets great gas milage. So far 17.94@72mpg in the quarter and 28mpg. It wheel hops like crazy on launch so I am going to throw on some vintage traction bars to see if I can improve on its 2.62 sixty foot time. I think it has a 17 flat in it.
