You might not get as far as you think. I once hit a Hyundai head on with a Mack Granite, weighing about 75,000 pounds. Bent the front bumper under, then knocked the front axle clean off the springs. Didn't go far after that. Front bumpers on big trucks are just strong enough to hold the license plate. Goliath's bumper is stronger.

After working on and around freightliners and volvo's I'd have to agree. They are pretty much for aero on the front. The rear of a trailer, now that's pretty sturdy.
