Re: Former Craig Breedlove/ Steve Fossett LSR Racer Up for Sale

It's my belief that if anyone could have pushed this car to 800, then Craig would have already done it.
Just because Fossett invested cubic dollars wouldn't have gauranteed breaking the record.
There are others who believe the same as me - the car just doesn't have the power to go that fast.

Of course, there's not a good place to run it right now.
It's too fast for the shortened racing surface of Bonneville salt.
Burning Man festivals have littered Black Rock playa with foreign objects that could play hell with record attempts.
Maybe Lake Gairdner down in Australia is long enough, but it's way the hell and gone out in the boonies.

    Other ideas?

I tried to keep track of the upgrades after Breedlove sold it, but after a long period of time gave up.
Fossett was supposed to be looking for places to run the car when his plane went down.
I agree that it did not/does not have enough power to go 800, let alone 1,000.
Just the car alone, might be a nice museum display if the price is right.

Who wants to display it in Fossett's configuration?
If it still looked like when Craig owned it, maybe.
