I visited The Supercharger Store about a month ago, our car club had a small garage tour, they were one of the stops. Interesting place.

True enough, and you don't have to look very far to find those stories.

I'm glad he's enjoying the car, however!

Re: Car Feature: The (Formerly) Hack Job General Lee

Yep, it'll fit.. It's going to take some cutting, modifying, fabricating and welding.. But Jon doesn't let anything get the best of him... He's going at this like a man possessed..

Let me start off by showing you a funny one.. The ONLY thing on this car that the guys didn't touch (except to paint) were the BK "strength bars" under the hood. They raved about these things during the build on their page, saying how you could "lift the car up by these bad boys". Yeah, that's why they got 1/2 way through them when BOINK, the BK "welds" snapped, allowing the bars to fall to the floor. :o

Oh yeah... This is some quality work right here.... :

Anyways... it's making room for this....

next.. My nice new Ansen valve covers have to be cut & modified... But it's for a good cause...

                  More coming later...

Re: Car Feature: The (Formerly) Hack Job General Lee

Interesting in an interesting way. I guess they're doing a lot with gear driven units now, they have shelves full of various ratio gears for them.

One of the guys has a little plymouth Scamp, the plymouth version of my wife's 70 Dart. The car is fixed up with all the modern comforts, and has a blower on the 318, according to the local portable dyno it makes over 500 hp at the wheels. But he says it's only run mid 12s. I guess it's not really geared right (same rear ratio and tire size as my 55, less weight, similar power, runs a second slower)

A few more sneak install shots...

Blower was so big the valve covers had to be modified.. But it's nothing Jon can't do with his eyes closed...

My level of excitement is going through the roof right about now..

Here are a few more shots, courtesy of Jon... I am simply amazed at the work he's doing.. .From the gas tank to the front bumper....

The gas tank needed to be modified, but that was no problem for him:

                          Check out these welds!!

Funny, but that's what Jon said.. He said "you have NO IDEA what this thing's gonna do, do you!". Honestly can't say that I do.
