Re: NASCAR to Allow Drivers Championship Points in One Series Only
this is good, and the cup guys will still be in the field.. the cost isn't all that much to bring the car as the team is already there(if there is a cup race that week end tooo)
they also get a muilty test laps out of the nationwide race, (tire wear/etc)
the rule doesn't address owner/drivers, that might be a loop hole, as harvick and busch both own truck teams and are the drivers.
also if you know your team is not a top 25 team you might, deside to run the nationwide and only a few "select" cup races.. or become another start and park team in cup..
the start and park, is the rule that needs fix'n

Re: NASCAR to Allow Drivers Championship Points in One Series Only
I will be interesting to see what happens after 5 races and the Cup guys with no Nationwide points have to qualify to be in the race.
I never liked the Cup guys in Nationwide races anyway. A fully funded Cup team racing against under funded nationwide teams...I wonder who's gonna win...Cognizant Dissident

Re: NASCAR to Allow Drivers Championship Points in One Series Only
Man, I used to really love Nascar, back in the days when win on Sunday meant sell on Monday. Now all the cars fit the same "template", there is no individuality of brand, cars, or drivers, they all look alike, foreign cars are allowed to fake an engine for competition's sake and the whole "chase" thing is just lame. I am afraid this whole sport is steering itself into an uncontrollable skid. It is good, however, to stop the big money teams from winning the championship in all the arenas of cup, truck and nationwide. I personally would prefer they go back to "Winston,Busch, and Craftsman" series. But what do I know, I am just a guy who lost interest!
