thanks guys. this is my car and yeah, it's definitely running WAY rich but it was also only the 2nd time I've fired it up. i'm working on all the little details now needed to be able to drive the car and next week i'll work on tuning it in.

He better have a pile of receipts to prove the $500 rule. He'll have to quiet it down a bunch also. The cool factor will keep him from the People's Curse award and having the car crushed.

            no need for receipts:

It's a loophole about the size of Texas

but the fuel economy on this thing will make it pretty damn hard to win the overall with it.

Going on the principle that "If there is one example of something on the internet, there must be others", I have discovered a German fellow who put a huge radial engine (10.2 liter) in a car a bit smaller than the MR2. A teeny tiny Gogomobile in fact. It's smaller than a mini. It has wheels like a cushman, like a lawnmower.

This guy is an engineer and machinist. An amazing engineer and machinist at that.

I saw that video last night, that is friggin awesome! Sounds like it's purring like a kitten, especially by radial standards.

thanks. i really haven't done much tuning yet. i'm still mostly focussing on building the car but i was tired of all the way too rich bitching on some of the other forums. i just wanted to show that it runs great with very little work.

I have an update worth posting

i completely redid the drive assembly:

                        starting at the radial:
                        -cummins turbodiesel starter and flywheel
                        -bmw guibo
                        -mitsubishi 3000GT transfer case
                        -goldwing final drive

of course each component has extensive modifications done to them.

                        and here's the end result:
Here it is guys, it moved under it's own power again. I'm absolutely beside myself!

if anyone wants to see it in person, it's showing up at the next 24hours of lemons race in Joliett, IL.
