Re: Widow of Neal Parker Suing Old Bridge Raceway Park
This whole thing is pretty disgusting in my opinion. As a racer, we know what can happen, but we accept the risks involved because we want to do it. After reading the lawsuit verbatum, it stipulates that Parkers car was "coasting". Last time I checked, 249mph is full boar through the shutdown area, not coasting.
I feel bad that Mrs. Parker has to go through the pain of losing Neal. Seeing it was so unexpected, they probably weren't setup moneywise.
Unfortunately, these frivilous lawsuits are filed by people who want to get paid.
