I hear "Stayin' Alive" every time I drive this thing

"Fuel" by Metallica comes to mind as a great song.

the first time I heard Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen do Hot Rod Lincoln, I think I was 6 or 7. Bout wore that 45 out. I hate to say it because it's like Stairway to Heaven or Freebird. I've heard it approximately 13.7 million times too many, but that was always my favorite car song.

Not a fan of The Boss - but I did like "Pink Cadillac".

As for classic rock car tunes - you can't beat "Hot Rod Lincoln".

409, shut down, etc are classics, but don't forget the less known stuff like Fred Eaglesmiths 105, Pontiac, and Lucille

The Boss also did "racin in the street" for all you 69 chevy 396 fans.

              I got a sixty-nine Chevy with a 396
Fuelie heads and a Hurst on the floor
She's waiting tonight down in the parking lot
              Outside the Seven-Eleven store
I do not like Bruce Springstien but I think this is one of my favorites

Me and my partner Sonny built her straight out of scratch
And he rides with me from town to town
We only run for the money, got no strings attached
We shut 'em up and then we shut 'em down

Gotta love the sound of a Chrysler gear-reduction starter as a song intro...
