    looks a lot like the "Chapparal Grand Prix" cars we had at a track here in Garland back in the 70's. If it is, that will be a 500cc Rotax twin with a snowmobile looking torque-a-verter variable belt drive. The uncorked version was good for 80mph but not on their track. They had two versions on the track, a very slippy convertered one and another that would hook the converter up and actually use the engine's power. You had to make several laps of what seems like 47 seconds IIRC and then they would let you drive the faster car.
