My grandfather used to live in Tecopa Hot Springs and I'd go wheeling with him in the hills surrounding his place... good times.

If you are ever passing through Ely, with a few days notice I can give mine tours (giving one to a local 13 year old boy scout tomorrow for a Geology badge). Plenty of Ghost Towns around here, that's for sure. I really need to start an account at a photo site....

(Of course assuming we are still open ;), copper gained a bit the last couple days... )

Sounds awesome. I got my wrangler for 1700 bucks last may.
My Dad bought this '87 for $500 last December for my Brother, I got it in June for free when my Brother went to Europe, put $250 in Fuel injectors(leaking externally) in it and a water pump(also leaking externally :P), It's got 120,000+ on the 4.0L and runs strong. Been hitting up ghost towns and the hills lately.

    You'll love it.
And Luddington is an awesome little town.
We go and camp out and hit the dunes every year.

'Wheelin' in the forest is fun too, I have a brother up in the Sierras who had a Scout we once took out in the dead of winter to look at old gold-mining sites. I'm sure if I lived there I'd go out some.

    Funny.
The dunes that run up and down the west side of the state could be construed as a small desert. ;)
