Brian, keep the road racing and road racing car stories coming ... we'll get some of these drag racers here to see the light eventually. You just have to keep hitting them over the head, some of them have pretty thick skulls. ;D

Re: Vintage race Car of the Week: The Tyrell P34
Hell, I dig all kinds of racing....NASCAR has lost my interest(the politicking and commercialization, that is), but I dig racing.
Those Tyrells are some of the wildest-looking creations I'd ever seen....easily one opf the most unique cars to ever hit F1.
Keep it up Lohnes, you may get a promotion yet.... ;D

I had a few years when I followed F1 as close as you could pre-internet and cable. I remember reading about this car , in magazines.
I was a "superSwede" fan. Ronnie Peterson fan and was devastated when I read he was killed at Monza. The JPS Lotus 79 IMHO was the prettiest F1 car over made.. Mario won the championship in one so they also worked rather well.

I can't get enough of the '65-'85 era F1 and world sportscars.
If you want to see this one driven in anger (sort of), The Monterey Historic races are being replayed on Speed this Saturday, and the F1 cars are on at 12:30 EST."First I believe if you keep the RPM's high enough, ANYTHING is possible." PeeWee

1965-1970 was about the time that the designs changed from being aesthetic, to functional...they lost something then....
