below my nick, I have a question... and where in fu**n hell is the non-siamesed bores? You want 208ci pushing at indy? you could even keep your two valves heads by the time I am done with mspaint and crayon color diagrams.

That was a cool story but I got to hear that same story from my friend that was there through all those times.

Brian, If you want to do a story on Smokey, I have a friend that was close to him and worked for Smokey for many years. Smokey is even the godfather of this guys kid. I can get you in touch with him. He has some cool storys.

Poor old smokey, if he'd just have had the kind of stuff available in the junkyard then, that we do today (EFI stuff).

I bet Smokey would be a Megasquirt kind of guy, lol.

ralph johnson ...probably could design something tons better than anyone short of nasa could develop
smartest cat on the planet and a hard core party animal

the mechanical injection wasn't a problem with the offys and cosworths
if he had more time , it would have figured out
roger rager and gurney AAR ran pretty good with stock block chevrolets later on
smokey's hands were all over the buick V6 revolution at indy , most of those pieces came right out of the best damn garage in town in the 80s

                    I have no idea who..but.
Somebody was running a small block at Ontario as late as 1980.
My Dad and I went to the Cal.500 from 1974-1982. We allways hung out in the Garage area until very late in the night.
Dad and Danny Ongiase (spl) seemed like long lost buds... I remember when I was 14 driving the 70 miles home because Dad had a few too many of Danny's Beers.
