    after driving a stock model t, I realized that I didn't want to go any further than i needed to in anything pre-flathead. I couldn't imagine what he went through , crossing the country with roads worse the the ones we have here in Pa!

      What an interesting person. I just cannot imagine what it took to do what this guy did. I also never knew who the Cannonball was named after and now I do. Thanks again Brian.

                Nope, I don't think we can (safely, or is it legally) duplicate a trip like that today. I'm glad there were nutjobs gearheads who had the stones to pull off these kinds of stunts when the going was good. I can't imagine what it was like to cross the country when Baker did it.

                Alas, I know the origin of "Cannonball", great stuff! ;D
