      That is a great picture. This is the epitome of the birth of the sport. As scary looking as the "Bug" is, it is amazing in that was the first in several generations of dragsters. Thanks again Brian for a really neat article.

        So The Bug that was at the NHRA museum was a copy,with fake patina?
        Either way it did have a seat belt.LOL

            A seat belt....hmmmmmm.......I think I'd rather fly like superman. My go-kart has chased me several times but only landed on me (hard) once. No seat belt looks like a better idea to me. damn those guys had cahones. I feel like a wus just lookin' at that and thinkin 'bout drivin it over 100.......mommy..........
