Re: The Violation Game: Kit-Car Badness

Years ago one of the guys who worked at Ft Huachuca with me had a car that he had built in the Philipenes, it had the same general style as this one. I wonder if this is a funky foreign one off? It doesn't quite look like a kit. But I could be wrong.

Is it me, or is the passenger headlight really crooked?

I think in the true spirit of violations, we would have to moention the hubcaps, the whitewall, and the white letter tire.
The overall concept is another mattter!

These cars should be shown in conjunction with a real ugly girl that closely resembles what ever feature that makes these cars so ugly. You know like big round car, big round girl. Ugly grill, ugly grill (teeth) on girl. Cars are just like girls to me anyway, and it would really pull these type blogs together for me.

Re: The Violation Game: Kit-Car Badness

The violation meter ain't exactly going off like a Geiger Counter at Chernobyl, but it's-a-hummin'.

            Mistmatched tires
Parts-store hubcaps(at least use the spokes on this thing)
Misaligned headlights(looks like nips on a bad boob job)
Air horns screwed to the cowl
Side mirror...where the hell did THAT come from?
Missing lens on front marker light(looks like an old Grakon ICC light from the roof of an old IH cabover)
Vinyl "graphics" on the windows......break out the razor and Windex
Rear fenders look as if they were scavenged from a tractor
Front fenders don't even come close to encasing the tires....looks like it's gap-toothed
Spare tire well in fender, but no spare tire
Door handle looks like it was scrounged from an old screen door

PLEASE tell me that's not a "stacked wing" on the back of this monstrosity.
At least it has IFS....has that much going for it.

Personally I think the whole thing is a violation.

I old cars or newer cars that are supposed to look like old cars- I personally think A arms sticking out in plain sight is a violation .

Depending on what chassis this thing is sitting on it could be the ultimate sleeper. Of course at anything over 100 mph and the body would probably come apart at the seams. :D

Re: The Violation Game: Kit-Car Badness

I think the owner paid more for the paint job than anyone will be willing to pay or the whole car... unless it has a really nice drivetrain that you could pull out and put in something else.

It's not the worst looking "violation" car I've ever seen, but whatever it was trying to emulate... it missed.

I kinda like it, paint it gray, remove the hub caps and it'd make a prefect WWII German staff car good enough for Rommell! ;)
