I don't know. That Pacer built by the girl and her dad ,on here a couple weeks back, was pretty cool.

My "star power" ends at the front door, although my kid thinks I'm a hero. ;)

Maybe the gov't will crush the pacifica and pay me off.

Tell her-Good news is you traded the Worthington for it- Bad news is she has to shovel the driveway. Brian, all the bitching won't matter in 15 years when your kids are showing pictures to their friends of you, their old man, racin' a Rambler around a bunch of snow piles and how cool he once was!

I used excuse number 5; it seems to have saved my butt a couple times, but only with what ch11 added: it's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. My sons are 6 weeks and 20 months, so nearly the same situation, but you can always argue for doing it "for the family". That's similar to keeping you from becoming a gang banger, and besides the wifey can keep close tabs on you from the kitchen window. Use that excuse freely!! Good luck, bro!! ;D

I'd go with # 2 and kick in the fact that you'll have less money in it that all those shoe. And to not be so selfish(lol ) Tell me how that goes over.

I was going to say it's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission, but I guess you'll be missed for a couple days, so bringing home a 'surprise' is out of the question. And lying will get you jacked up big time.

Unless you tell her it's an heir loom from a friend who died and his last wish was to build it into an ice racer.

Naw, that one sucks. There's no good way to break the news. I think you're boned.

I love # 2. Nuclear, i laughed out loud in the office. Been there on a couple diffrent levels.
But the shoes drives it home. I think we can all relate to that one.

Still though I don't know that i would want to use it either. ;D

The fact that getting into my backyard is impossible due to he 6 foot high snow bank I built with my tractor is a slight issue as well. ;)

The spa day is a huge plus - if you could time it to be the day you haul this wreck into the backyard - all the better.

It's free is a good thing - cause she can't get mad about the money end of it (well except the moving expenses)

I would think a project with the boys is a good angle - cause we all know it will take years to get it operable again.

Sheesh - you may need to keep this list in front of you as good ammo after you break the news to her!
