Re: '65 Pontiac Wagon Trip a Success

I look at triple-digit speedometers and wonder...just how many have actually seen the century mark?

I've owned ONE(was my wife's DD) with the magical big-number dial...a '97 LS Monte Carlo.

110 MPH top end....it kicked off at 108.

The busted 85 MPH joke in my Camaro's dash must go.

DF, that wagon just looks SWEET......hopefully Ryden won't let this one languish in the garage with the rest of his stuff(which is neater than hell).

Love the photos at 66,666.6 at 60 MPH. Couldn't have done it at 66?

400 miles. That must have been a great cruise.

Funny, 20 years ago and I wouldn't have given that thing a second look...now it seems pretty cool.

I drive that trip at least a couple times a year in my Impala. I know every exit on I-5. Would've been fun to tag along and see Dulcich again.

If I'd known you were stopping at Dulcich's place I would have had you rescue my 440!

                      I witnessed it there.

Also saw you called a few times but I was driving. I refuse to have an earbud and it's illegal here now to talk while driving.

I can't wait to get the thing home. No worries, it's staying as-is and will the new daily driver. I like the 326 2-barrel deal. So cool! Glad I got David to sign up to pick up before the 40 and 50 and 60 hour weeks kick in again (thanks a bunch!).

Dammit, thats exactly what I have been looking for. Is this a keeper or you going to turn it?

"The next stop was at Steve Dulcich's place where I toured his collection of junk Mopars."

I would have went with, "... his sweet collection of vintage Mopar iron.", but I can live with that.;) The wagon a nice score.

WOW! Sweet Pontiac!. And I'm a big fan of 61 Plymouths also. Too bad I missed the post about your trip, I'm 15 miles north of Stockton , you would have been welcomed to a tour of my junk . Glad you made it back down OK.
