Did you happen to see the primed straight axle 55? it was a two lane clone. My buddy and i noticed something odd about the front tires. they were et drags, the kind you mount on a 3.5 inch rim. only the front rims were about a 15x5 or 15 x 6! the sidewalls had HUGE bulges in them!

I did notice that car on my last pass through zapping photos. It was near the end of a row on the backside of the hotel when I saw it, over by those people that had the whole tiki bar deal set up. I took some pictures of those front tires and I'll try to dig a couple out tonight to post.

That was a kick ass looking car though.

When I was a kid a neighbor took his nearly-new '67 BB Chevelle and put a straight axle on it. With 7 & 10" Torque-Thrusts it looked pretty good. I saw it for sale ten years later with a 427/Muncie for a couple grand. I bet it got restored in the '80s...

looks like the predecessor to the donks and passenger cars running on 26" wheels nowadays :-\

You know, I really like the whole Gasser/ AFX type thing, but honestly, none of those really look right. They're too high front and back, and just don't look like 60's drag cars. More like 70's Street Freaks or something.... Just my opinion, of course.....
