If that division is making money, or even breaking even and keeping folks employed this is the foolish!
If they are loosing money I totally understand the move.
It says Development of High Performance products on hold. THe Camaro is already set to go they probably built some already. And here I go off to Chrysler.
Placation of Pelosi to help obtain funds. They'll be back. Hi-po runs strong through GM upper Mgt I hope...Provided they haven't sold their cahones to the devil....

The GM Performance Division is NOT dead. The development of FUTURE performance vehicles is on hold for a while. Many of the people that work in the Performance Division will be reassigned to work on other future products, but could be brought back when the requirements change. Vehicles like the Camaro SS, G8 GXP, and the CTS-V are already developed and are being built.
GM Performance Parts will continue, as will the Performance Division. There will still be crate engines, show cars and one-off vehicle builds. This point was specifically explained to us in todays meetings.
