Re: CraigsList Pick of the Week: GMC Topkick Pickup
Brian, I agree. This is something one of us here ought to have. So in that spirit why don't you go out right now and buy the thing, paint it red, white and blue and put it to work towing the the Javelin to various events? I mean its only right that you set that kind of example for the rest of us, don't you think? ;D

They put real engines in the big trucks, either a real diesel or a tall deck big block.

A guy up here had something similar. School bus chassis & front clip with a suburban body followed by 8 foot bed. Talk about wild. If only I would have had the $33k he wanted for it.Hauling ass & sucking gas are the best uses for a truck.

That generation TopKick rides like a FKN buckboard and the gas mileage blows goats. I'd recommend this instead...
Civillian version of the M1078 LMTV. Cat engine, Allison 7-gear auto, I've done everything possible BUT roll it.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

Remy, is your Chevelle still for sale? When me and the Caveman were driving to PA the topic of your Chevelle came up. I for whatever reason REALLY dig that car.
