you want weird I know how that was done. have seen other ones up close . they use single rear wheel rear with dully wheels then mini tub the body and i think it clears the springs with out mods.
I have the 4x4 3/4 ton version of that suburban, it has a 3000 lb payload capacity....not sure why you'd need duals on it....unless you've got a heck of a lot of tongue weight, but then you'd want a 5th wheel anyways.

I'm thinking it's just for a little more stability and insurance against a rear blow out. Here lately ( now that noone wants these gas/diesel fuel ) hogs I want one !
P.S Brian, I think it is mini tubbed. Just trow a 4x8 sheet of plywood over the tubs for a flat bed and store your stuff underneath it . ( the plywood that is )
