Man, this belongs on WreckedExotics.com! If he survived, I hope he was able to make some kind of genuine life afterward. Sometimes living isn't exactly a viable alternative, regarding quality of life.
My FIRST, first car lasted exactly 2 weeks. Long story short, it was a '70 Pontiac Catalina, 400-4bbl, all-power, 4.10's, ZERO rust. On my way to get the recently repaired brakes adjusted, a woman driving a brand-new '77 Catalina (spooky, huh?!) pulled out in front of me as I was passing a gravel truck. She later admitted that she never looked. Swell.
Anyway, I hit her head-on. All I remember is a shower of plastic, 'glass and aluminum upon impact. My cars front end was wrapped under and the drivers-side wheel assy. was shoved back into the pass. compartment. I have no memory of that beyond simply being told. Her car was 90-degrees to mine and missing the front end completely. She had to be ambulance'd to the hospital. I walked away without a scratch. Amazing what a difference a few years of 'technology' can make!
I hope I am not the first to say.. some of those cars were scary weak. Be it a freak manufacture anomoly or what. The family mustang convertible bent in half where it sat..true story. Also a 69 ironically...Nothing broke..just decided to bend. Later learned the valley in the engine block was sitting in the oil pan as a chunk. Possible nuker... maybe.
This freak sight, in my own mind, could happen to anything. I gimp for life from a ford diesel that lost its frame mid travel, and empty. No control, throttle stuck, and mangled....never broke anything, just decided to bend....Possible nuker...maybe.
