Wow....Not me but a good friend rolled his Z24 Cavalier and ended up wrapped around a telephone pole 10 feet off of the ground......In the car!!!! I saw it with my own eyes.... :o :o :o

He was DOA, but they revived him and he was helo'd to a hospital where he made a full recovery.....Needless to say Copious amount of Booze were involved.

Man, that's a gnarly wreck. Glad the driver was ok. But seeing how the car disinigrated upon contact, I can only wonder how structurally sound the car was in the first place......

That is worse than Michaeal Waltrip's Bristol crash. Man those steel guide wires have no business next to a road. They are nuthin' but round saw blades.

Studded tires arn't much for handling on dry pavement, especially when there is a lot of horsepower involved. Can't believe the guy survived this kind of an accident.

Holy mother of mangled sheetmetal batman!

As an owner of a few of that vintage mustangs over the years - I have to say that is by far the worst mess I've ever laid eyes on, I think the one I watched go through the sheetmetal shredders have looked nearly as good!

The fact that he lived must mean God had more plans for this guys life and wasn't ready to take him yet - I hope he didn't have anyone else in the car with him.

They do loads of testing with cable guardrails, and would never have introduced them if they tore cars apart..
How on Earth did they manage to make this kind of mess?

I would have gave the guy cash towards a new car on site for the clutch pedal!! Looks like the car mite have been alittle rusty. My families towed in alot of cars that ripped apart from a fender bender because of salt rot here in the northeast. :-[ :-[ :-[

There was a great documentary that shows a ton of footage filmed by the NTSB in the late 60's, early 70's testing all kinds of barricades, with all kinds of vehicles including semis. The cable guard rails were the scariest to watch. Next were those steel barricades. It's amazing what a full size car will do to one of those at 45 mph.

a kid in abington.. lost it in his rustang gt
and clipped a tele pole
hit right behind the front seats..
car was in two pieces.. sitting on rt 139..
front of car (front seats forward) on one side of road..
the read half on the other..
walked away with a few cuts..
and a dad that wanted to kill him
