              Modern moonshiners are frickin' chowdaheads.

If they started a small business, they could actually sell it LEGALLY, AND have a tax write-off for all their expenses.

BTW, don't drink this stuff, it actually causes lead poisoning. Most stills have copper or metal pipes, which are soldered together. The solder leeches into the shine, and BAM, shine drinkers get lead in their body.

No thanks. I'll stick to Grandpa's bathtub wine.

Hello.....It is the foundation and birth of NASCAR.....why be surprised? I think it's cool that someone still does this. Not to say I'm gonna build a boiler anytime soon but, it is actually the roots. There is a reson behind all this and it may be abnormal today but, it still all applies. Pun intended....LOL

                    I loves me some corn-squeezins......

Just gotta be careful who ya get it from.....some just look at it as a profit-maker, no pride in what they're distilling.

THAT'S the difference between "sellin' shine" and "sippin' shine".

I figured this was gonna be some Junior Johnson throwback when I read the title......pretty bad when guys getting busted for illegal whiskey manufacturing is more compelling than the on-track action...LMAO.

My buddy brought me back a mason jar of corn squeezins from Tennessee. I took a small sip...not for me. I'll stick to Jim Beam.

My Dad's friend had two gallons of it break in his checked in luggage coming back from Georgia :o, what do you call that? :P Thankfully no one lit a match when he was unpacking.
                          Escaped on a technicality.

Actually I have a qt of clear ,and a pint of Apple Pie. It all comes from a good source here in East Tn, its alive and well in the good ole USA. Wilkes is a big mfg ,also Harnett County. About 10 years ago the biggest operation in Va happened in Rocky Mount Va and all those good ole boys was busted, one even took his own life. That one wasnt hard to figure out, small town hardware store going thru about a million plastic jugs a year.
