Spidey may be right, there's a lot of new tech in that engine, plus the emissions hassles of diesels in this country (big oil don't like those efficient, economical diesels). Although with the success of the Duramax, you'd think there's some good knowledge going into this engine that might make it less of a warranty nightmare.

I don't understand why diesel prices are so high.....it's almost the last cut in a barrell. About 1 cut above 3-in1 oil.....
