Re: Video of the Week: Why Top Fuelers Don't Run in the Rain
it's working good here, i've probably watched it five times now. i love it.
my first thought was that it looks like japan...probably trying to give a few rain soaked fans something to see and hear. but i could be wrong. my second thought(s) is how to make it work. LOL
i guess for starters he could have left the throttle stop on. ;D

MY GUESS: The promoter who booked this car as an exhibition act threatened not pay unless it fulfilled its obligation. This is how Doug Rose lose his legs on a wet Virginia drag strip, after the promoter insisted that the Green Mamba give the fans some kind of show (possibly for the purpose of avoiding refunds or rain checks).
Hmmmmmm, sure takes the worry and controversy out of TRACK PREP, eh? Might not be a bad idea to run ALL pro races on a wet surface. That way, NHRA could go back to a full quarter-mile for fuel cars -- and maybe get back some of the many fans who will not tolerate thousand-foot racing, including yours truly,
