      I'm going to guess that there wasn't much speed involved since the truck is "parking" in the shoulder lane. I'd bet the driver and truck were part of some road work, he dumped, than started going through the gears get up to speed, all the while the box was slowly coming down till,,,,,,,,,BANG!!!!! low speed, maybe 30mph, hence the sign is still standing.

        Looks to me like that truck driver did a commendable job of delivering that road sign to just the right place. Problem was, when he was fixin' to set his truck bed back down, the hydraulics lifted the cab and frame instead. Thus his dilemma. At least that's the story I'd be tellin'.....
