A friend of mine talked to Mike Chrisman and Kike told him that Horan told him to watch out, he usually takes out the cones at around 300 feet. Report from the hospital is that Horan has decided to hang it up.

That was Mike Chrisman's first Top Fuel qualifying run. He had just licensed the week before. If you go to Dragracing on line they have still shots, Horans butterfly's were open the whole run. The track was shit the whole weekend, cost me a motor. Cost Horan and Chrisman ( Cox et all) a lot more.

I was partners in a front motor dragster in the 80's. It was a top fueler in 1965, we just ran a small block Chevy. Even so, my partner, the driver, obviously had big steel balls to drive it. Steering was often lock to lock in the first 300 feet. I have no idea how people still have the courage to drive these.

Looks almost as if they were both losing it and heading towards the center line. Horan crossed it first.
